COCHITI LAKE, N.M. – As part of the 2024 International Boating and Water Safety Summit (IBWSS) conference, Cochiti Lake will host the National Safe Boating Council’s (NSBC) Boat Control On-Water Training Course, April 7-8, 2024.

Course participants will be making wakes on the lake, which is a No Wake Lake.

There will be signage near the Cochiti Boat dock and a buoy line across the northern section of the lake to alert other boaters of the training area.

Cochiti Lake remains a “no-wake” lake and the boating public is still required to drive at slow speeds so as not to cause wakes.
