  • USACE-Albuquerque District to expand phased reopening of lakes

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Albuquerque District announced May 29, 2020, that two USACE-managed lakes in New Mexico (Conchas and Santa Rosa lakes) have begun a phased reopening, and the boat ramp at Abiquiu Lake will be open as of May 30.

    USACE-Albuquerque District announced May 15, 2020, that USACE-managed lakes in New Mexico and southeastern Colorado are scheduled to begin the first part of a phased reopening.   • USACE/NMSU Professionals Publish Joint Article

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and New Mexico State University professionals published a Joint Paper which was released on May 12, 2020. The article, Sustainability management of short-lived freshwater fish in human-altered ecosystems should focus on adult survival, was published by PLOS ONE, a nonprofit research publisher located in the United Kingdom.
  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to begin the public involvement process for the Conchas Lake Master Plan revision

    The Albuquerque District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), is beginning the revision of the Conchas Lake Master Plan. All members of the public are encouraged to submit written comments and suggestions before June 22, 2020.
