  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will honor new America the Beautiful Federal Recreation Pass

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) announced May 15 it will begin accepting the America the Beautiful Federal Recreation Pass Program’s new Interagency Annual Pass for Military (Military Pass) at its more than 2,500 USACE-managed recreation areas nationwide.

  • Open House at Abiquiu Dam

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Abiquiu Lake will be hosting an Open House for the public to discuss the 2012 spring runoff, river release forecast and associated water operations. The open forum style meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 28th, 2012, 6:00 pm at the Abiquiu Lake Visitor Center located on Highway 96, approximately 2 miles west of the Highway 84 junction.
  • Army Corps of Engineers Revises and Renews Nationwide Permits

    WASHINGTON – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) recently announced revised and renewed nationwide permits necessary for work in streams, wetlands and other waters of the United States under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899. The permits are necessary to replace existing permits, which expire on March 18, 2012. The new NWPs will take effect March 19, 2012.
  • Midwinter Bald Eagle Watch at Abiquiu Lake

    Abiquiu, NM. -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Abiquiu Lake will be hosting its annual Midwinter Eagle Watch on Saturday January 7th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Volunteers will be meeting at the Abiquiu Lake project office, and the event is open to the public.
