  • President's Fiscal 2018 Budget for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Civil Works Program released

    The President’s Budget for fiscal year 2018 (FY 2018) includes $5.002 billion in gross discretionary funding for the Civil Works program of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps). "The fiscal 2018 Civil Works budget for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reflects the administration's priorities to support and improve the nation's economy and infrastructure, and to protect the American people," said Mr. Doug Lamont, senior official performing the duties of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works. "This Budget supports the core mission areas of coastal and inland navigation, reducing flood risks from riverine flooding and along our coasts, and restoring aquatic ecosystems.”
  • Spring 2017 Runoff Increased on the Rio Grande and Rio Chama

    The Albuquerque District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Bureau of Reclamation and the Office of the State Engineer anticipate extended high flow conditions along the Rio Chama downstream of Abiquiu Dam and along the Rio Grande downstream of Cochiti Dam through the spring of 2017.

    Celebrate Earth Day at Abiquiu Lake's Pollinator Party, Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 10:00 am at the Abiquiu Lake Project Office. The event will focus on promoting the health of pollinators such as honey bees and monarch butterflies.
  • Road closure at Conchas Lake due to construction

    The Lodge Road at Conchas Lake, N.M., will be closed for road construction March 27 – May 19, 2017. During this time, there will be no access to the south recreation boat ramp.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Abiquiu Lake will be hosting its annual Midwinter Eagle Watch event on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The event is open to the public and volunteers will be meeting at the Abiquiu Lake Project Office.

    WASHINGTON – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) announced that it will waive day use fees for veterans, active and reserve component service members, and their families at the more than 2,800 USACE-operated recreation areas nationwide on Veterans Day, November 11.

  • Army Corps of Engineers waives fees, holds events in observance of National Public Lands Day, Sept. 24

    National Public Lands Day, the largest annual volunteer hands-on restoration activity of its kind, is Saturday, Sept. 24. The Albuquerque District is hosting five events at Abiquiu, Cochiti, Conchas and Santa Rosa lakes in New Mexico and John Martin Reservoir in southern Colorado. Day use fees will be waived.
