The tributaries (and their sub-basins) of the Rio Grande watershed located within Pueblo boundaries are in Sandoval County in north-central New Mexico. Information on the sub-basins that directly affect Pueblo lands is presented below. The amount of land to be studied equals 895.3 square miles or 572,968 acres.  The Pueblo has indicated that restoring and protecting the ecosystem within the Santa Fe River, Galisteo Creek and Arroyo Tonque-Rio Grande sub-basins will assist in preserving their traditional cultural and natural resources.
