The USACE-Albuquerque District’s Operations team worked closely with the staff at Cochiti Lake to have a CXT pre-cast concrete restroom installed at the lake’s Juniper Loop campground in November 2024. The new facility was part of a sustainability package to update the campground with modern facilities.

CXT buildings are prefabricated and delivered complete and ready to use with very minimal installation. The interiors are designed to resist abusive wear and allow quick, effective, simple cleaning. This new facility has four unisex rooms -- which each consist of a shower, toilet, sink, and diaper changing table – and should last for decades to come.

Scott Hamilton, engineer technician in Operation’s Technical Support Branch, monitors contractors as they use a 180-ton crane to place the first half of the new CXT pre-cast concrete restroom facility at Juniper Loop, Nov. 19, 2024.
