Cochiti Lake swim beach to be temporarily closed to the public Wed. Aug. 20, 2025

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers staff at Cochiti Lake has announced that the Swim Beach will be temporarily closed to the public on Wed. Aug. 20, 2025, from 7:00 am until 3:00 pm, due to a special event.

The boat ramp, campgrounds, and all other recreation areas at the lake will remain open on Aug. 20.

The swim beach’s regular hours in August and September are 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., daily. The swim beach will close for the season on Oct. 15, 2025. Please note that there is a $5.00 fee per vehicle. This fee is covered by the campsite fee for visitors staying in the campground. Pets and charcoal are NOT allowed in the designated swim beach area.
