NATO multinational battlegroup Estonia demonstrate combat readiness during Exercise Bold Eagle
Testing their readiness to defend the Alliance’s eastern flank’ , NATO’s multinational battlegroup Estonia deployed alongside NATO Allies recently, for Exercise Bold Eagle. The seven-day exercise in Estonia challenged Estonian, French, Polish, UK and US forces’ readiness to navigate the complex, boggy landscape of the northern Baltics. Heavy armour, including the British Army Challenger 2 tanks – weighing over 60 tons – navigated the landscape, honing the critical mobility skills essential to Estonia’s defence. The UK-led NATO battlegroup is one of eight based along NATO’s eastern flank, demonstrating Allies’ resolve and readiness to defend Alliance territory and populations. Footage includes shots of British Army Challenger 2 tanks, Warrior Infantry Fighting Vehicles, and Estonian and UK infantry training in trench warfare. USACE hurricane relief team ensures firm foundation for Canton Fire Station broll
On an early & drizzly morning just days before July 4th, a small army of Corps of Engineers QA specialists and contractors met in Canton, North Carolina, for the simple task of pouring a concrete slab. But this is no ordinary concrete placement. Once cured, the slab will serve as the foundation of the city’s temporary fire station, decimated by Hurricane Helene in late September. In a community surrounded on all sides by dense forests, a functional fire station is a must. Construction of the main fire station structure will begin mid-July.

Merles Takes Helm at Key Marine Corps Logistics Hub in Florida

USS Iwo Jima Conducts Replenishment at Sea
ATLANTIC OCEAN (July 1, 2025) The Henry J. Kaiser-class replenishment oiler USNS Joshua Humphreys (T-AO-188) provides fuel and supplies to the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) during a replenishment at sea. The Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and embarked 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) are underway executing Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX), which tests the amphibious ready group’s ability to deliver combat power wherever the nation’s leadership requires, and is informed by U.S. Navy Fleet Commander requirements and assessment of ongoing operations around the globe. COMPTUEX is the Department of the Navy’s commitment to deliver highly capable, integrated naval forces to promote our nation’s prosperity and security, deter aggression and provide tailorable options to our nation’s leaders. COMPTUEX also allows the Navy to assess all aspects of prior readiness generation activities, which provides leaders information needed for process and resource allocation decisions for future warfighting development.
