Managed by Bureau of Land Management and three parcels are on Navajo Land. It is part of the Trail of Ancients Scenic Byway, prehistoric archaeological and geological sites. It was once a riverine delta and is located west of shore of an ancient sea, Western Interior seaway, which covered most of New Mexico 70 million years ago.”
