Stone Serpent Water Guardian
GALISTEO DAM, N.M. – A unique rock formation downstream of the Galisteo Dam flip bucket, Oct. 9, 2018. The "Stone Serpent" is the large sandstone head to the left and looming above the pool. The mouth is a long horizontal crevice line in the stone. The eye is a discoloration in the face of the stone about where an eye should be. Photo by Marcos Rosacker.
