Maj. Jerard M. Paden arrived at the Albuquerque District in June 2023.
Prior to this assignment, Major Paden was the Executive Officer of the Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 2d Infantry Division forward stationed in the Republic of Korea. Other prior assignments include Instructor/Trainer at the United States Army Engineer School (USAES) and Company Commander of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 554th Engineer Battalion in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; Battalion Intelligence Officer for the 6th Engineer Battalion in Ft. Richardson, Alaska; and executive officer and platoon leader in the 23rd Sapper Company (Airborne) in Ft. Richardson, Alaska, where he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan).
Major Paden’s military education includes the Command and General Staff College, the Captain’s Career Course, Engineer Basic Officer Leader Course, the Army Strategist Course, the Joint Planner’s Course, Winter Warfare School, Airborne School, and SERE school. His civilian education includes a Master of Science in Engineering Management and a Master of Science in Geological Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Norwich University. His professional credentials include a Professional Engineering license and the Project Management Professional certificate.
Major Paden and his wife, Jessica, are both from Anchorage, Alaska, and they have two children.
