Ribbon-cutting ceremony held for new Deployable Structures Laboratory at Kirtland
Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M. – Maj. Katrina Johns, deputy commander, USACE-Albuquerque District (2nd from right) and Gamaliel Fuentes, project manager, USACE (far right) join Air Force Research Laboratory officials at a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Deployable Structures Laboratory, Oct. 29, 2020. The $4 million contract was awarded Sep. 30, 2018. Construction was completed Oct. 13, 2020. Completion of this new laboratory will assist AFRL to leverage testing of new and larger deployable space structures.
