CONCHAS LAKE, N.M., – The bridge and roadway on Bell Ranch Rd. will be closed from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, May 12, 2026, due to a dam bridge inspection. There will be no public access via the road across the dam during this time.
The road closure will prevent access to and from several recreation areas. Impacted areas include three N.M. State Park-managed campground areas: the North Campground, Cove Campground, and the Bell Point Campground. The N.M. State Park Visitor Center will also be inaccessible due to the road closure. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-managed recreation areas impacted include the USACE Visitor Center and the Captain Kramer Day Use area.
