      <title>USACE/Air Force Research Laboratory break ground on AFRL building</title>

      <description>USACE-Albuquerque District and the Air Force Research Laboratory recently broke ground on a new AFRL building at Kirtland Air Force Base.&lt;br/&gt;

Stevens, commander, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Albuquerque District, (far right) joined Air Force leaders and other team members to break ground on a new Air Force Research Laboratory facility addition August 4, 2020.  

The 10,000 sq. ft. facility will be used to study and advance Directed Energy capabilities for the U.S. Warfighter.  The new addition will be used to plan, develop prototype, test and deploy high-powered radio frequency weapons systems.

The total project cost is $5.5 million dollars, and is scheduled for completion in March 2021.' /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;
