PUBLIC NOTICE FOR FINAL REGIONAL CONDITIONS ON THE 2017 NATIONWIDE PERMITS IN NEW MEXICO - 3/16/2017: On January 6, 2017, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) published the notice in the Federal Register announcing the reissuance of all 50 existing nationwide permits (NWPs), general conditions, and definitions with some modifications. The Corps also issued two new NWPs, one new general condition, and five new definitions. The 2017 NWPs will be effective on March 19, 2017, and expire on March 18, 2022. The Albuquerque District finalized regional conditions for the 2017 NWPs in the state of New Mexico on March 19, 2017. The New Mexico regional conditions provide additional protection for important aquatic resources in the state and ensure that NWPs authorize only those activities with minimal adverse effects on the aquatic environment.

SPA-2012-00347-ABQ: RGP NM/WEST TX-17-01 - 3/16/2017: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque District (Corps), the New Mexico Environment Department’s Surface Water Quality Bureau (SWQB), and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) requests comments on Regional General Permit (RGP) NM/West TX-17-01 for Emergency Repair and Protection Activities within the State of New Mexico and area of West Texas in which the Albuquerque District has jurisdiction. The purpose of this public notice is to inform interested parties of the availability of the draft RGP and to solicit comments.

SPECIAL PUBLIC NOTICE - CHANGES TO THE STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE FOR DETERMINATION OF MITIGATION RATIOS - 1/13/2017: This informational public notice announces updates to a procedure for determining compensatory mitigation requirements as required for processing of Department of the Army (DA) permits under section 404 of the Clean Water Act, section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act, and section 103 of the Marine Protection, Research, and Sanctuaries Act.
