[UPDATE: Comment Period for the Regional Conditions Extended to August 11, 2016 Due to Revisions] Proposed 2017 Nationwide Permit Reissuance - Initial Public Notice for Comments in New Mexico - 6/2/2016: On June 1, 2016, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers published in the Federal Register its proposal to reissue the 50 existing nationwide permits (NWPs) and issue two new NWPs. The purpose of this public notice is to inform interested parties of the proposed NWP reissuance and solicit comments by August 1, 2016 for the NWPs and by August 11, 2016 for the Draft New Mexico Regional Conditions.

SPECIAL PUBLIC NOTICE – Draft Regional General Permit No. 96 for Natural Disaster Mitigation and Flood-Related Activities in Colorado - 5/16/2016: The District Engineers for the Albuquerque, Omaha and Sacramento Districts of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) hereby propose to issue Regional General Permit (RGP) No. 96 for Natural Disaster Mitigation and Flood-Related Activities in Colorado. This RGP would replace RGP No. 96-07 for Flood-Related Activities in Colorado. The purpose of this public notice is to summarize the substantive improvements to the permit and solicit comments from interested parties.

SPA-2016-00034-ABQ - Letter of Permission NM-2 - 5/12/2016: Interested parties are hereby notified that, in accordance with Title 33 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 325.2(e), published in the Federal Register on November 13, 1986, the Albuquerque District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) intends to issue a Letter of Permission (LOP) procedure for authorizing the work described herein, within the state of New Mexico. The purpose of this procedure is to expedite Section 404 and Section 10 authorization for the activities described below when they would not pose substantial adverse individual or cumulative impacts on the aquatic environment. Each LOP issued under this LOP procedure will include the general conditions identified herein by reference and, as appropriate, may include case-specific special conditions intended to protect the environment, including natural and cultural resources. Work that does not comply with the terms and conditions of the LOP may require authorization by standard individual permit. However, compliance with this proposed LOP procedure, including the general conditions, does not guarantee authorization of the work by LOP. Work or structures that would have unacceptable impacts on the public interest are not authorized. Activities requiring Department of the Army authorization that are not specifically covered by this LOP are prohibited unless authorized by a separate permit.

SPA-2015-00275-SCO - Maria Lake Mitigation Bank - 2/1/2016: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque District (Corps) is evaluating a proposal by M L Wetlands, Inc. (Sponsor) to establish Maria Lake Mitigation Bank (Bank). The mitigation site would result in the preservation, reestablishment and rehabilitation of riverine and depressional alkaline emergent and scrub/shrub wetlands and associated upland buffers within the Sandy Arroyo watershed, which is part of the Huerfano sub-basin (HUC 11020006). Details of the proposed bank are provided in this public notice and in the attached Prospectus. The purpose of this public notice is to inform interested parties of the proposed mitigation bank and to solicit comments.
