SPA-2014-00540-ABQ: San Felipe Priority Sites: Phase 2 Upstream Project - 7/10/2015: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque District, (Corps) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are evaluating a permit application from the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) to construct the San Felipe Priority Sites: Phase 2 Upstream Project in Sandoval County, New Mexico, which would result in permanent impacts of approximately 3.7 acres and approximately 6.8 acres of temporary impacts to perennial waters of the United States in or adjacent to the Rio Grande. In addition, 0.18 acres of emergent wetlands will be permanently impacted and 0.05 acres will be temporarily impacted by the proposed project. This notice is to inform interested parties of the proposed activity and to solicit comments.

FINAL LETTER OF PERMISSION PROCEDURE UNDER SECTIONS 404 and 401 OF THE CLEAN WATER ACT (33 USC 1344) - 6/23/2015: Interested parties are hereby notified that, in accordance with Title 33 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 325.2(e), published in the Federal Register on November 13, 1986, the Albuquerque District of the United States Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) issued a Letter of Permission (LOP) procedure for authorizing as described in this public notice, within the state of New Mexico. The purpose of this procedure is to expedite Section 404 authorization for maintenance activities at certain existing structures/facilities conducted by government organizations when they would not pose substantial adverse individual or cumulative impacts on the aquatic environment.

SPECIAL PUBLIC NOTICE: Use of Nationwide Permits in Gold Medal Waters on the Arkansas River - 5/26/2015: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque District, Regulatory Division has issued new guidance, effective immediately, for processing of Nationwide Permits where work would be located within designated Gold Medal Waters on the Arkansas River in the State of Colorado, as designated by Colorado Parks and Wildlife. The purpose of this guidance is to inform prospective applicants of timing requirements and special conditions that may be required in order to avoid adverse impacts to important spawning areas in accordance with the Nationwide Permits General Condition No. 3 and Colorado Regional Condition No. 7.

SPA-2015-00137-SCO - Gold Basin Mine - 4/30/2015: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque District, (Corps) is evaluating a permit application for the Gold Basin LLC-C/O Simpson Estates (Gold Basin Mine) to reclaim historic mine disturbed areas and conduct future placer mining and reclamation on an approximately 32.28-acre parcel of property in Chaffee County, Colorado. The project would result in permanently impacts to an approximately 2,500 linear foot reach of the Cache Creek stream channel, which is a tributary of the Arkansas River. Details of the project are provided below and in the attached maps and drawings. The purpose of this public notice is to inform interested parties of the project and to solicit comments.

JOINT PUBLIC NOTICE FOR SPA-2010-00393-ELP - 3/3/2015: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque District, (Corps) and the New Mexico Environment Department, Surface Water Quality Bureau (NMSWQB) are evaluating a permit application from the United States Section, International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) for the proposed Vado East Levee Rehabilitation Project to construct Flood Control Improvements to the Rio Grande Canalization Project (RGCP) in Vado, New Mexico, which would result in: constructing and enhancing 1.08 miles of levee on the east bank, thereby shifting and widening the river channel westward approximately 175 feet within the project area, and causing unavoidable impacts to approximately 2.06 acres of riparian habitat adjacent to the Rio Grande. This notice is to inform interested parties of the proposed activity and to solicit comments.
