Natural Resources

Food Plots:

Twice a year at least 40 acres are tilled and planted with wheat and oats to provide food for elk, deer, bears, rabbits, turkey, geese, ducks, doves, cranes, blue heron and other species of birds. The natural resources are all managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Designated Hunting Areas:

Hunting is permitted in posted areas of the park between Labor Day and Memorial Day. It must occur during legal seasons using only shotguns or bow and arrow.
