ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., -- The 2013 USACE Excellence in Contracting Awards Program (ECAP) winners have been announced and the District’s contracting team was selected for the Excellence in Contracting Award PARC-Dallas for their outstanding performance.

The award is given to one district in USACE’s Principal Assistant Responsible for Contracting (PARC) Area of Responsibility - Dallas, which consists of four USACE divisions: Pacific Ocean Division; Northwestern Division; South Pacific Division and Southwestern Division.

"I'm very proud of our contracting team. This is an outstanding team of professionals that is 100 percent focused on getting the mission accomplished!" said District Commander Lt. Col. Patrick Dagon.

The ECAP awards program was established to recognize the contributions of top USACE acquisition and contracting professionals who have singularly and collectively demonstrated their exceptional commitment and service to USACE’s mission.

The Albuquerque contracting team awarded 129 actions totaling $120,492,678 during fiscal year 2013. This represents a true team effort and is indicative of the dedication and professionalism of our entire contracting division and professionals throughout the district that rely on the talents and dedication of our contracting team throughout the year. This team effort is “what makes this award so awesome,” said Linda Anderson, chief of the district’s Business Oversight Branch. “We only have 16 people in our office and other districts have up to 60 people.”

This is the second time the District has received the award. The contracting team previously received it for their work in fiscal year 2010.
